More Facebook Advertising Videos

August 4, 20170 Comments

We try to share ways that might be helpful in making your church more visible to your community here on Online Ministry Training. We are currently exploring how effective video ads are in increasing attendance to our weekend services. In this first phase we are using fifteen second videos that we create using promo and then boost them on our Facebook page for about twenty dollars. We will be adding more specific video advertising in the near future where we hope to be able to increase attendance in a particular service, i.e. attracting more people to Saturday night or to the early Sunday service. Here are a couple of the latest ads we have run.

Living Invitations Part 15 Ministry Chat

August 4, 20170 Comments

This weeks Online Ministry Training ministry chat is the fifteenth in our Living Invitations Series. We will be finishing up our discussion on “mission” this week by looking at 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. We will break down each of the verses but will wrap up by talking about verse 21: “He made him who had no sin to become sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God.” Becoming the righteousness of God is about being right with God in Christ and then living by trying to do the next right thing as we yield to the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us. Living life in a way that makes a difference to the world around us so that pre-christians can find their way into the Kingdom of God.

Numbers Study Chapter 1

August 3, 20170 Comments

We are starting a new Bible Study on the Book of Numbers here on Online Ministry Training. Numbers is an interesting book but it can be challenging at times. It is important to remember that all scripture is God-breathed and that it is worth the effort to dig into the more challenging books of the Bible. The book of Numbers ultimately praises God in numbers. It records the incredible faithfulness of God as He organizes the people of Israel to march to the promised land. In this chapter we will talk about how the promised land relates to us as believers today and also about our names being written in the book of life.

Living Invitations 14

July 30, 20170 Comments

We are continuing our series called “Living Invitations” here on Online Ministry Training by looking at 2 Corinthians 5:13-15. In this message we talk about the importance of the church being a force not a fortress. We need to be out in the world loving people the way that Jesus did. Our acronym for force is:

Frontline
Operation
Reconciling
Caring
Encouraging

We attempt to be a force by doing outreach that leaves people asking why we do it. Like giving away free ice cream in our ice cream truck or washing their car and giving them a dollar. We are hoping to break down any preconceived negative ideas people might have about the church. We also talked about love being what motivates us. The love of Christ compels us to proclaim the good news to those around us who do not yet know Jesus. This is our calling and it is where we experience the full and abundant, now and forever life that Jesus came for us to have.
