Living Invitations Part 19 Ministry Chat

August 30, 20170 Comments

This week’s Living Invitation ministry chat will help us start our discussion on fellowship here on Online Ministry Training. Fellowship is the relationship we have with other believers in Christ. These relationships are vital for all of us. When you think about it, our relationship with God and our relationships with people in relationship with God are eternal. Unlike most of the things of our life, which are temporary, we will be in relationship withe other believers forever. Thinking this way helps us to see how important and amazing fellowship is. To help us in this discussion, we will be looking at some of the “one another” verses that run throughout the New Testament.

Living Invitations Part 9 Ministry Chat

On our Online Ministry Training site we include a weekly Ministry Chat to help prepare for the upcoming weekend sermon. This week we are continuing on in our discussions on the armor of God. We will be talking about the sword of the spirit. The sword of the spirit is an amazing piece of armor. It is a combination of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. An amazing spiritual sword that is vital in both offense and defense. We have an enemy who would like to see our swords become dull. We need to keep our swords sharp by reading the Word, asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate truth to us as we read, and taking time to memorize scripture that we can draw on throughout the day.

Leviticus Study Chapter 9

Our Online Ministry Training Bible study continues this week with Chapter 9. This week I discussed the beginning of the ministry of the priests. As I did in the last chapter, I related this to the calling on our lives as believers in Christ to be a royal priesthood.

1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

In this chapter I talked about the ministry and the message of the priests being to prepare people to meet with God. The interesting thing is how the sacrifices that are taking place in Leviticus are a symbol of the perfect sacrifice, Jesus.

Living Invitations 6

We are posting our weekend sermons on Online Ministry Training as well as our Preaching in Shorts site. In this video I am talking about fitting our feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. We are to live as peacemakers, ready to share with our neighbors the amazing good news that they can experience peace with God, the peace of God, and peace with other people. I also talked for a couple of minutes about justification. I believe that whenever we read the word “justified” in a verse it should make our hearts skip a beat in joy. How amazing it is to be justified in His sight. That God chooses to see us in the perfection of His Son always causes me to be grateful!
